Meet Sarah Chaffee | Owner + Designer

Sarah founded Weltner Interiors in 2014 with a passion for creating homes that are as intentional as they are beautiful. Her favorite part of every project is taking a vision that exists only in her imagination and bringing it to life for her clients.

Outside of design, Sarah is a yoga lover, puzzle enthusiast, and (fun fact!) was the lead singer of a band after college and even auditioned for both American Idol and The Voice.

She believes every home should reflect the people who live there, making each project uniquely personal.

McKenzie has been part of the Weltner Interiors team for the past three years. Although she’s a nurse by trade, interior design has always been a passion, making this role the perfect blend of creativity and purpose. One of her favorite parts of the job is seeing clients’ homes come to life and witnessing their excitement when every detail comes together.

When she’s away from work, you’ll find her on the tennis court, tending to her garden, or spending time with family and friends.

Her design inspiration? Timeless, traditional New England interiors and if it feels like it belongs in a Nancy Meyers movie, she’s all in.

A little design secret from this project ⁠

Everyone assumes we installed soapstone here… but we actually kept the existing stone fireplace and had it professionally painted instead.⁠
⁠
Why? Because great design isn’t always about starting over. We didn’t want to rip out a perfectly functional fireplace or turn this into a much larger renovation just for the sake of it.⁠
⁠
The goal was creating a softer, updated look that felt intentional with the rest of the home and this solution achieved exactly that. ⁠
⁠
Proof that thoughtful design isn’t always about spending more. Sometimes it’s about seeing potential differently.⁠
